The Tai Pawb ‘Deeds Not Words’ initiative launched in 2020 as a commitment to ending racial inequality in the housing sector.

Two years later, we find ourselves in a cost-of living crisis that is disproportionately affecting minority ethnic households and will deepen racial inequality further.

This is one reason of many demonstrating that the commitments we made to eradicate racism upon signing the pledge are as important now as they were in 2020. Broadly, those commitments were to:

  • Mitigate the impact of Covid-19 on Black, Asian and minority ethnic staff and communities
  • Improve the ethnic diversity of board and staff at all levels
  • Communicate and engage
  • Develop an inclusive culture

As part of the pledge, we committed to reporting on our progress annually.

It is vital that we continue to play our part in making Wales a prosperous place for everyone.
