Chatting to residents at our Summer Roadshow in Caerphilly
The Summer Roadshows give residents the chance to talk to us about issues that matter the most in their community in a fun, relaxed setting. Kids of all ages enjoyed ice cream, games, and activities put on by 104 Regiment Royal Artillery, the South Wales Fire Service, South Wales Police, and Local Authority Play Groups, as well as face painting and balloon art courtesy of Masquerade.

Residents who completed our feedback surveys were also entered into a free raffle with the chance to win a patio set, an air fryer, a slushie machine, and garden games – basically, everything you need to enjoy the sunshine in your garden!
Conversations with residents and survey feedback gave us great insights into what we’re doing well, what we can improve, and how much residents feel involved in their communities. 63% of residents surveyed felt that their neighbours support each other to keep the community safe and tidy, while 69% wanted to be more involved with helping United Welsh make a difference in their community.
Justin Ball, Customer Experience Researcher, said: “We’re very pleased with the turnout at our Summer Roadshows, and how much residents have engaged with us. It’s encouraging to see how many residents feel supported in their communities and want to get involved in making them a great place to live. It shows a real community spirit.
“A big thank you to Van Community Centre in Caerphilly and Ebbw Vale Cricket Club for hosting two of our roadshows, and to Councillor Helen Gunter and Councillor Elaine Forehead for joining us in Cardiff and Caerphilly respectively.”
The Caerphilly Cheese Festival is taking place on Saturday the 30th and Sunday the 31st of August.
Whether you live in our communities and would like to talk to us about issues affecting your neighbourhood, or you would just like to know more about what United Welsh do, we’d love for you to stop by our stand and say hello.
