Get into housing

Get into Housing supports people from Black, Asian and ethnically diverse backgrounds in Wales to start a career in housing. The project aims to create pathways into meaningful careers and change the make-up of the housing workforce to better reflect our communities, providing opportunities for people with lived experience, potential and passion, but who have faced barriers to employment.

How does the programme work?

Through paid placements, in-work training and mentoring, participants can boost their CV, develop skills and gain experience in the sector.

Each placement is for 21 hours per week for 16 weeks and pays at least the Real Living Wage.

Alongside paid placements, participants also attend a Level 3 Looking into Housing and Community course.

This is held across three half-day sessions over the 16 weeks, and is designed to integrate with the practical placements in the programme.
