Report anti-social behaviour

Use your Ted account to report an issue. Everyone has the right to feel safe at home and in their community. If you feel that someone is causing you a problem and you want help, please report it.

If anyone is in immediate danger, please call the police on 999 straight away and let your Neighbourhood Officer know.

The offences below are criminal and should be reported to the police immediately. Tell them if you are worried about your safety or the safety of someone else.

After you have spoken to the police, please contact us with the incident report number and the officer’s name, so we can work together to agree what happens next.

  • Arson
  • Criminal damage (such as graffiti, smashing windows or damaging a car)
  • Domestic abuse (including physical, emotional, sexual and financial abuse, revenge porn, stalking and harassment, coercive control, forced marriage, honour-based violence)
  • Drugs (including cuckooing, county lines, substance misuse, drug dealing)
  • Hate crime (a crime motivated by prejudice about race, religion, disability, sexual orientation or gender identity)
  • Physical violence
  • Sexual offences (such as trafficking and exploitation)
  • Verbal abuse (such as threats and harassment)

If you are experiencing anti-social behaviour that is not criminal, follow these steps:

  1. Try a calm conversation with your neighbour or the people behaving anti-socially  to let them know there is a problem. They may not even realise there is one.
  2. If that doesn’t go well, contact us to report your concern and our team will investigate.
  3. If the issue you are experiencing is noise nuisance, and the behaviour persists (it lasts for long periods of over 30 minutes a day for at least five days within one week) contact your local Environmental Health Officer at the council.
