Overview

Work has started on a new community of 28 homes in Blackmill, Bridgend.

We are working in partnership with Bridgend County Borough Council and Welsh Government to transform the site at Cwm Felin and Ebenezer Court.

Celtic Offsite, a social enterprise within the United Welsh Group, will manufacture the timber frame structures for the homes from its factory in Caerphilly.

The development will be made up of 14 walk-up apartments and 14 houses. This includes 12 two-bedroom houses and two three-bedroom houses.

The homes will be allocated for social rent by Bridgend County Borough Council.

They will be built to the highest energy efficiency standard (EPC A), with air source heat pumps and rooftop panels to help reduce energy costs for residents.

Work will be carried out on site by contractor Your Space Projects, with completion expected in 2028.
