Goals for a greener Wales

In our mission to become carbon neutral, we are making changes to our homes and communities to protect the places where we live and enjoy. By working together, we can do it.

So far, we have upgraded 827 properties to make them more energy efficient and better for the environment. These home improvements have saved customers an average of £354 per year on their energy bills.

The work is being part-funded by the Optimised Retrofit Programme (ORP).

What is the ORP?

Led by the Welsh Government, the Optimised Retrofit Programme (ORP) was created to improve the energy efficiency of homes across Wales.

It began in 2020, as part of government plans for all social homes in Wales to reach EPC-A (the highest energy efficiency rating) by 2033.

United Welsh has received ORP funding to support retrofit work at our homes since 2021.
