A reminder to people receiving Universal Credit

If you pay your rent with Universal Credit, you need to update your online journal with your new rent figure from 1st April, or you could risk losing money.

Please log into your UC Online Journal and update your new rent figure on your account. Follow the instructions in your to-do list to update your housing costs and change it to your new rent figure.

Don’t know your new rent figure? Check the ‘Rent Variation’ letter we sent you in January, or log onto the Ted app, click ‘My Account’, and click ‘Charges breakdown’.

If you manage your Universal Credit over the phone, you’ll need to call the DWP on 0800 328 5644.
