Progress at the former Penallta Colliery housing development

09 Nov 2021

Development

Penallta Colliery closed 30 years ago in November 1991. Fast-forward to 2021, and more of the disused land at the site is being brought back to life with the build of 48 new low carbon homes.

We are working in partnership with Caerphilly Council and Morganstone Ltd to develop the homes, which will be powered by green energy such as solar panels and air source heat pumps.

There will be one-bedroom apartments, two and three-bedroom houses and one four-bedroom house.

Find out more about the development here.
