United Welsh is hitting the road once again this summer to speak to residents about the issues that matter most in their communities.

The events give residents the opportunity to speak directly with staff, share concerns, suggest improvements and influence how services are delivered in their communities.

As well as providing a relaxed setting for residents to share their thoughts and ideas, the roadshows also have plenty of fun activities for children too. This includes face painting, balloon art and fairground games, as well as activities organised by Local Authority Play Groups, the South Wales Fire Service, South Wales Police and the Army.

While last year, the focus of the roadshows was estate management, this year the focus is on tackling anti-social behaviour (ASB) in their communities.

Justin Ball, Customer Experience Researcher in United Welsh’s Customer Involvement team said:

“The aim of this year’s roadshow is to dig deeper into how ASB affects our communities. We want residents to share with us their concerns, and their ideas to reduce ASB where they live, as well as provide signposting to other relevant services that can help them.

“We have already received feedback on how we handle ASB through our Resident Focus Group, and the Neighbourhood team have introduced a new triage system for reports of ASB, meaning incidents are dealt with more quickly and efficiently.

“Although we will be talking a lot about ASB during the roadshows, please come along to talk to us about any issue affecting your community. We want to hear all your ideas!”

Following feedback from last year’s roadshows, new parking restrictions were introduced in Waverley Square, Cardiff, United Welsh supported a junior football team in Dinas Powys by sponsoring kit and equipment, and a resident association was set up in Llys Cambria, Llanbradach.

The 2026 Summer Roadshow will be stopping at:

  • Green space next to Western Leisure Centre, Ely, Cardiff on the 7th August, 11am – 3pm
  • Caerleon Road, Dinas Powys, 14th August, 11am-3pm
  • Caerphilly Miners Centre, 19th August, 11am-3pm

The last stop for the Roadshow will be an information stand at the Caerphilly Cheese Festival on the 29th and 30th August, giving the wider community a chance to learn more about United Welsh.

The roadshows form part of United Welsh’s ongoing commitment to working with residents to improve neighbourhoods and create safe, thriving communities.
