The Lower Plas Court development is being built on land in the heart of the town, next to Blackwood Market and the town’s bus station interchange
It will comprise of a three-storey apartment block and a five-storey apartment block, with the homes available for social rent through Caerphilly County Borough Council’s Common Housing Register.
The development will be built to the highest levels of energy efficiency. Celtic Offsite, a social enterprise within the United Welsh Group, will manufacture the timber frame structures for the homes from their factory in Caerphilly. The five-storey apartment block of apartments at Lower Plas Court will be the largest apartment block produced by Celtic Offsite to date.
The build will then be finished on site by development contractor Castell Construction.
