PRIORITY SCHEME FOR URGENT REHOUSING
Priority card scheme for urgent housing needs
We no longer allocate priority to applicants in urgent housing need. Our Selectahome waiting list closed on 5th December 2016 following the launch of the new Caerphilly Common Housing Register.
If you are looking for housing urgently because you are at risk of homelessness, fleeing abuse or because you feel your current property is seriously unsuitable due to a physical mobility problem or disrepair, you must contact the local council for advice.
If you are a current tenant of United Welsh and you feel you need to move urgently, please contact us so we can support you to find the best solution.
The council will make sure your needs are assessed and your application is processed appropriately.
Please be aware that United Welsh will only contact applicants who have been nominated to us by the Council.
Nominations are made through a shortlisting process to match our available properties with suitable applicants on the common housing register. Your position on the register will depend on the details of your application to the Council and the local common allocation policy.
United Welsh will not be able to influence your position on the shortlist or request that you are nominated to us. We must ensure that the process is fair and transparent.
If you have any concerns about your application, please contact your local council's housing advice team. You can find their contact details on our Find a Home page
