Handy Service FAQs

What services do you provide?

However, if you would like a job completed that is not on the list, please get in touch and we will see how we can help you.


Do I supply my own materials?

Yes you will need to supply your own materials, apart from consumables such as wall plugs and screws.


When do I pay for the service?

Full payment will be taken at the time of booking.


Is the work undertaken guaranteed?

The work we provide as part of the Handy Service has a 12 month guarantee.

If you experience any issues with the materials you purchased, you will need to discuss the guarantee of these items with the manufacturer of the product.


If I can’t pick up the materials I need, can you help?

Celtic Horizons may be able to collect materials, for a charge, on your behalf. Please call 0800 294 0195 and press Option 1 to discuss your circumstances with the team.


How long will it take for you to complete the service?

You will be given the date of your service appointment at the time of booking.

Work will be completed within a maximum of 28 days.


Will you clean up after the work is done?

We will not take away your old appliances, fixtures and fittings, unless you book this service with us, but we will remove any waste that we create.


How do I get a refund if I change my mind about using the service?

If you change your mind about using the Handy Service after you have paid for work, please call 0800 294 0195 and press Option 1 to cancel the service and request a refund.

Refunds will be processed within 28 working days.


What can I do if I’m not happy with the service provided?

If you are unhappy with our service, we will try our best to resolve the issue.

However, if you remain unsatisfied and wish to submit a formal complaint, you can do so via our Complaints Form or by speaking to our Customer Service team on 0800 294 0195 (press Option 3).


As a United Welsh customer, can I pay you to do work at a building that does not belong to United Welsh?

The Handy Service is only available for United Welsh properties.
